The well known airfix model is sliced and compared to the plans. the airfix 1/72 scale "e-boat" kit was released in 1975. for its era, it was large and impressive and its classic box art still makes the kit a tempting impulse buy.. The fast attack boats - called e-boats by the allied - were the primary attack crafts for coastal water that took over the role of the classical torpedo boat.. The plan was featured, together with photographs and full constructional advice in the february 2012 model boats magazine (no. 62/735). full constructional information is included on the plans and the model could be built with conventional electric power if desired..
